1. To start using AnnoEight, add in the 'Annotation' (Text that you want to show) in either the Element Comments or Type Comments.
2. The Type Comments are Annotation for the family e.g Walls, Doors, Stairs, Windows, Generic Models.
3. The Element Comments are Annotation for the individual element.
4. The Element Comments will supersede the Type Comments when generating the Textnotes, so feel free so specify an individual element.
5. Make sure to turn ON your Crop Box and Annotation Crop.
6. After finishing setting up your model. Go to your view and run AnnoEight.
7. Select which Text Note Type your want to use and select either 'Selected Elements' or 'All Elements'.
8. 'Selected Elements' will generate annotation only for selected elements. *(Please make sure to select first before running AnnoEight)
9. 'All Elements' will generate annotation for all elements in the view. *(Please make sure your Far Clip is set correctly as it select the elements as well)

Click generate to annotate your drawing! Enjoy!

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

For 'All Elements' text note generation do make sure to set your view range/farclip correctly, as it would generate text note for elements behind.

Currently, the plug-in does not generate text note annotation for linked models elements. We are aware of this and are working to add this into our plug-in in later versions.
