BIMWERX
A Navisworks® clash report navigator and manager for Autodesk® Revit®.

General Usage Instructions

This tool works with the Revit element ids that were used in Navisworks to perform the clash report. It is therefore important that the same elements still exists in the Revit project.

Export a text formatted clash report from Navisworks Manage.

The following contents must be selected:

  • Clash Point
  • Item ID
  • Image
  • Grid Location

Any additional clash contents may be selected.

Once exported, Open Revit (Navisworks Manage no longer required), open one of the 2 Revit models from the clash report and run the "Navisworks Clash Navigator" command from the "Add-Ins" ribbon menu.

Click on "Import" to import the text formatted clash report (the images exported by Navisworks must remain in the same relative location).

Select any row in the clash list from the spreadsheet viewer, and a clash preview will appear on the right-hand pane of the floating dialog. Note that this dialog can remain open while working in the Revit model (it will remain top-most).

Click on the "Enable" link from the "Navigate" panel to dynamically select and zoom to elements when selecting from either "Element 1" or "Element 2" columns. "Element 1" column entities are located in the "master" / current project, while the optional "Element 2" entities can be mapped to by clicking on the text "Project 2: Select..." from the "Navigate" ribbon panel.

The "Filter" button adds filters to the headers which can be used to filter the status of elements which can be set by clicking on any of the status column cells, and selecting a status assignment for the clash entity.
