The Autodesk Revit BCF Manager of BIMcollab provides the ability to create and modify issues, and communicate them through BIMcollab Nexus or via BCF files directly from within Revit.

General Usage Instructions

Online workflow BCF Manager

Start Revit
Load the model(s) for which you want to create or review issues in Revit
Choose the BIMcollab tab in the ribbon
Click on the BCF Manager icon to open the BIMcollab BCF Manager pop-up window
If you are a first-time user, you first need to Activate your BCF Manager
Create a View Template in Revit, to determine the view settings when zooming to issues from the BCF Manager
Connect to a project on BIMcollab Nexus from the BCF Manager
If there are already issues present in the project you connect to, they will be displayed in the issue list
Create new issues manually
Select issues in the issue list and see their details
When an issue is selected, you can quickly edit it, or add a new comment to it
Double-click the issue to zoom into its viewpoint in the model in Revit
When you have made all the necessary changes, synchronize the project to BIMcollab Nexus, to share the issues with your team members

Offline workflow BCF Manager (Creating, importing, and exporting issues offline)

It is advised to always use the BCF Manager with an online workflow by connecting to BIMcollab Nexus. If this is not possible, you can create, import, and export issues as BCF files to exchange them with the rest of your project team.

Open the BCF Manager in your preferred application.
To start a whole new project, select 'New offline project'.
If you already have a BCF file to start the project, choose 'Import BCF File'. The issues from the file will be imported. You can find an example BCF file on our website.
Press the '+' button and start creating new issues, or click the pencil button to edit existing issues.
When you are ready to export the issues to a BCF file, hit the Save button.

Installation/Uninstallation

All instructions can be found on our website www.bimcollab.com. Install or uninstall the BCF Manager according to standard procedures.

Download the exe file.
Double-click the file to start the installation process.
Follow the instructions on your screen.

Uninstall the BCF Manager from your computer as you would uninstall any other application from your system (via the add/remove menu).

With three possible snapshot-sizes and resizable panel-width users can choose how to use the available screen size. Also the issue history with comments is visually enhanced with their linked snapshots. Extended filtering options You can now filter issues on all properties. Especially when working in large projects with lots of issues it is much easier to keep an overview and find the issues to work on.
