The Point section of bws.Lcc allows you to manage point loads in your Revit model, enabling you to import and export point loads efficiently.

How to Use?

  1. View Point Loads: Select a point load in the datagrid to review its coordinates (X, Y, Z), load components (Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz), and load case (e.g., DEAD, LIVE) in the secondary datagrid.
  2. Import Loads: Click the Import button to bring in new point loads from an Excel file, selecting Overwrite, Merge, or Append to control how new loads integrate with existing ones.
  3. Export Loads: Click the Export button to save all point loads to an Excel file for sharing or backup.

Loads: Line

The Line section focuses on managing line loads, supporting both uniform and non-uniform distributions for flexible load application.

How to Use?

  1. View Line Loads: Select a line load in the datagrid to review its start and end coordinates (X1, Y1, Z1, X2, Y2, Z2), load components, and load case in the secondary datagrid.
  2. Import Loads: Click the Import button to bring in new line loads from an Excel file, selecting Overwrite, Merge, or Append to control how new loads integrate with existing ones.
  3. Export Loads: Click the Export button to save all line loads to an Excel file for sharing or backup.

Loads: Area

The Area section enables you to assign and create uniform area loads on elements like floors and foundations, simplifying load application.

How to Use?

  1. Select an Element: Choose an area element (e.g., a floor) in the datagrid to view its load cases and values in the secondary datagrid.
  2. Assign Loads: Select a load case (e.g., LIVE), enter the load value (e.g., Fz), and click the Assign button to save the values to the element.
  3. Create Loads: Click the Create button to generate the area load in Revit, selecting Overwrite, Merge, or Append to manage existing loads.
  4. Reset Values: Click the R (Reset) button to clear assigned load values before creating the load in Revit.
