Thermist Add-in
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
After installing the add-in and restarting Autodesk® Revit®, three new buttons appear in the Add-ins tab: A to B, Coil Connect, and Settings.
A to B Usage:
- Click the A to B button
- Select any pipe, duct, cable tray, or conduit element
- Click your destination point
- The tool automatically routes from your element to the destination while intelligently avoiding clashes
Works in both plan and 3D views. Perfect for extending runs, making connections, or routing around obstacles—what normally takes minutes of manual routing is completed in seconds.
Coil Connect Initial Setup:
- Click the Coil Connect button
- Select a coil
- On first use for each equipment type, select the supply and return pipe mains
- The tool will automatically generate clash-free pipe routing between the coil and mains
Subsequent Use:
- For previously configured equipment types, simply click Coil Connect and select the coil
- The tool remembers the appropriate system pairs, eliminating the need to reselect pipe mains
Advanced Configuration (via Settings):
- Customize run-out pipe sizes for each equipment type
- Configure custom valve arrangements per equipment type
- Switch between standard Revit families and ITM fabrication parts (Fabrication version)
- Clear stored configurations selectively or completely
Regular Design Process:
- Use A to B for quick point-to-point routing across any discipline.
- Place your coils and pipe mains according to your design
- Use Coil Connect to automatically create connections
- Continue with other aspects of your design while saving significant time on routing tasks
Both tools work seamlessly in plan and 3D views. Coil Connect supports both 2-pipe and 4-pipe coil systems, adapting to your preferred working environment and project requirements. By automating time-consuming routing tasks, Thermist dramatically reduces project hours while improving accuracy and consistency. What typically takes hours of manual work is completed in seconds, allowing designers and contractors to focus on higher-value tasks.
