General Usage Instructions
Step 1: Select planBIM Tab.
Step 2: Click on the show window Command button.
Step 3: Once you click on the show window button the Login Screen will appear on screen. To use this app, you need a planBIM account. In case you don't, click on the Create An Account link. The app retrieves data from https://app.planbim.io. You'd also need to create a project in planBIM and then login within the Revit plugin.
Step 4: To understand how to assign LODs for various element categories in the web app, please refer this article: http://help.planbim.io/planbim-modules/scoper/level-of-development-lod-user-interface
Once your Project is created on the website, you can view the same in the plugin as well. Make sure you've selected the right workspace if cannot see your project. Inside a project, you can select the Discipline (i.e. Architecture, Structural Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Civil) and under this Discipline there are multiple categories & sub-categories available. You can also switch the active phase if there are multiple phases in your project.
Confirm that you’re in the right project and right phase before proceeding forward.
Step 5: By default, all the subcategories in the scope as chosen in the LOD Matrix on the web app will be shown. You can select a particular element in the model space, and the planBIM app will intelligently filter out only the subcategories relevant to that element (this is only supported for few categories).
Step 6: A modeller can associate a model element from Revit to the relevant planBIM Scoper subcategory by family or by type. This can be done by selecting the element in Revit and clicking the F or T icons in the plugin.
The plugin supports functionality to modify the associations in bulk and they can also be overridden if necessary.
There are also options to filter and sort projects and subcategories according to their Discipline, Category, LOD, LOA, LOI.
