General Usage Instructions (Updated)

  1. Prerequisites

    • Autodesk Revit 2025 or newer installed

    • Archi Benchmark Tool for Revit plugin installed (from the Autodesk App Store)

    • An open Revit project (any model)

    • Active Internet connection is required for live percentile comparisons

  2. Installation

    1. Download and install Archi Benchmark Tool for Revit via the Autodesk App Store.

    2. Restart Revit if it was running during installation.

  3. Launching the Benchmark

    1. Open your Revit project.

    2. In the ribbon, find the Archi toolbar group.

    3. Click Benchmark Hardware.

  4. Running the Test

    1. In the dialog that appears, confirm you’re online and click Start Test.

    2. The tool will execute CPU- and GPU-intensive operations inside your model.

    3. Wait 1–2 minutes—the progress bar shows status.

    4. When complete, you’ll see four panels:

      • CPU: utilization & timing (ms)

      • GPU: utilization & timing (ms)

      • Memory: peak usage (MB)

      • System: combined score & percentile

  5. Viewing & Saving Results

    • Results appear only in the dialog (no built-in export).

    • To keep a record, use Revit’s Screenshot command or copy the percentile values into your notes.

  6. Interpreting Your Scores

    • Each panel shows raw performance plus your real-time percentile vs. the global user pool.

    • Aim for scores above the 50th percentile to stay competitive.

    • Hover over any panel for details on what each test measures.

  7. When to Retest

    • After major Revit updates

    • Following hardware or driver upgrades

    • Any time you want to verify performance trends

Installation/Uninstallation

Install instructions:

  1. Run the supplied installer
  2. Introduce the serial number in case you have a license
  3. Confirm the installation settings
  4. The plugin is now available to run inside Revit.

 Uninstall instructions:

  1. Close all Revit sessions.
  2. Run the uninstaller from the installation directory or from the shortcut in the Windows program menu.
  3. Confirm the uninstallation
  4. The program is then uninstalled.
