ProtoTech's JT Exporter for Revit® - Trial

Win64, English

ProtoTech Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd
JT Exporter for Autodesk® Revit® exports the Revit model into JT file format.

General Usage Instructions

  1. Download and Install the application.

  2. Launch Revit and open a model.

  3. Go to the ‘Add-ins’ tab on the ribbon bar. It contains the following buttons:

    • Export

    • Preferences

    • About Us

  4. Exporting the Model:

    • Click the ‘Export’ button to export the model to a .jt file.

    • Save As dialog will appear. Specify your desired directory and filename.

  5. Setting Preferences:
Click the ‘Preferences’ button to configure output options:

    • Write Out Point Bodies (Points): By default, points are not exported. Enable this option to include points in the JT file.

    • Write B-Rep Data: By default, the exporter writes only the Visualization model (Viz-Rep) for speed and typical user needs. Enabling this option includes the true CAD geometry (B-Rep) in the JT file.

    • JT Version Number: Default version is 9.0, compatible with the largest user group. Versions 6.4 through 10.5 are supported.

    • JT Faceting Options: Applicable only to Viz-Rep JT files. For B-Rep JT files, the plugin uses the JT Open recommended option “JtkSMART_LODS”, which creates multiple Levels of Detail (LODs) based on B-Rep data. Faceting options are ignored for B-Rep files, as importing applications generate the mesh automatically.

    • Reset Defaults: Restore all JT export settings to their default values.

  6. About Us:
