Win64, English

Retug
E2R, an integration tool for ETABS and Autodesk® Revit®, made by an engineer, for engineers. Review structural framing members in each piece of software and flag discrepancies.

General Usage Instructions

Begin the integration tool by clicking on the app icon in the add-ins ribbon of Revit.

Screen one -

  • Select “Gather ETABS Grids” to plot ETABS grids.
  • Select your ETABS Beams in ETABS that you want to transfer to E2R. With the beams selected in the ETABS application, click “Select ETABS beams”. A text box should appear showing the quantity of selected ETABS beams.

Next, go to your Revit panel

  • Click “Gather Revit Grids”.
  • Then click “Select Revit Beams” and window over the Revit beams you want to transfer to E2R.

Your Revit panel will now plot your gridlines.

Next, determine your X Y and Rotation parameters to map from the ETABS space into the Revit space. See the YouTube video for more in-depth discussions on this process. Once you have determined these values, be sure to hit the save button, where you will be prompted to save a .json file to remember these project-level parameters. You can click import to begin your session again.

With all the green lights lit up at the bottom of the E2R Input Window, click, “Map the Beams”.

On the second screen, you are greeted with a visual overlay of the elements selected on the screen. You can control transparency, and visibility and can select the ETABS beams for review. Then click "Map the Beams" and a table will be generated on the left that will flag discrepancies. The user should review this table for any items marked in yellow or that do not have the "Mapped" checkbox clicked.

After the free 30 day trial completes the application limits the number of beams compared to 50 beams.
