BIMida
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
BIMida is designed to fit naturally into your Autodesk® Revit®-based BIM workflow by helping you manage and structure data according to project-specific requirements.
Typical Workflow:
- Load your Revit model as usual.
- Go to the BIMIDA tab and click “Palette” to activate the side panel.
- Select your configuration based on requirements exported from Plannerly.
- Choose your discipline (Architecture, Structure, MEP) and the relevant project phase.
- Select one or more use cases (e.g., fire safety, LCA, cost estimation).
- As you click on elements in the model, the palette displays only the required properties to fill in.
- You can update the configuration at any time by importing a new Excel file (versioned automatically).
- Use the About section to check for updates or contact support.
How it fits into your workflow:
- Before modeling → Load and configure your data requirements.
- During modeling → Fill in only the data that matters, in context.
- Before delivery → Ensure all required fields are completed, avoiding errors and rework.
- Throughout the project → Update requirements and stay aligned with the BEP.

Import / update config file |
This command lets you import an Excel file generated exclusively from Plannerly, containing the project’s information requirements. It allows you to create a new configuration or update an existing one. When updated, the configuration name is automatically incremented (V2, V3, etc.). The file must include Revit object types, project phases, use cases, property groups, and parameters. BIMida then dynamically adapts the palette based on this context. This feature ensures full alignment with the BEP and eliminates manual data entry. |

Activate/Desactivate the pallet |
The BIMida palette can be enabled or disabled at any time using the “Palette” button in the BIMIDA tab in Revit. When enabled, a side panel opens, displaying dynamic property fields based on the selected element and current configuration. Clicking the button again will simply hide the palette. The palette must be active to use the plugin. Its state is saved between Revit sessions for user convenience. |
