Quickly and accurately displace levels in your Autodesk® Revit® model while maintaining element relationships.

General Usage Instructions

Level Displacer is a Revit add-in that simplifies the process of vertically displacing levels in your model. Here's a guide to using it:

1. Activate the Add-in:

  • Select one or more levels in your Revit model.
  • Right-click and choose "Displace Level(s)" from the context menu.

2. Adjust Displacement:

  • Use the slider to set the desired displacement distance. Positive values move levels upwards, and negative values move them downwards.
  • You'll see the levels move in real-time in the model as you adjust the slider.

3. Choose Displacement Direction (if available):

  • If the add-in includes directional displacement, select the desired direction (Up/Down, Left/Right, etc.) using buttons or a dropdown menu.

4. Set Options:

  • Bounding Box:
    • Check the "Maintain Bounding Box" option if you want to keep the project's original bounding box, even if levels are displaced outside of it.
    • Leave it unchecked if you want the bounding box to dynamically adjust to the displaced levels.
  • Linked Elements:
    • Check the "Displace Linked Elements" option to move elements like doors and windows along with the levels.

5. Apply the Changes:

  • Click "Apply" to displace the selected levels according to your settings.
  • Click "Cancel" to close the dialog without making any changes.

Additional Tips:

  • Experiment with the slider and different settings to achieve the desired visual effect.
  • Use the "Zoom to Displaced Levels" button (if available) to quickly focus on the modified levels.
  • If the add-in includes advanced features like level duplication or rotation, explore those options to further customize the displacement.
  • Refer to the add-in's user manual for detailed instructions and troubleshooting tips.
