EAE Cable Tray Plug-In

EAE Cable Tray Plug-In

Win64, English

EAE GROUP
Enhance Autodesk® Revit® with EAE Cable Tray plugin for easy drawing and a standard-compliant bill of materials for EAE Electric Cable Trays.

General Usage Instructions

1. User Registration:

After completing user registration, one should log in to the plugin.

2. Placement of Family Files into the Project:

Once the user logs into the plugin, they should click the “Build” button within the plugin. After the first click on this button, the plugin interface becomes usable, and all the family files will be imported into the project.

3. Cable Tray Line Design:

After clicking the Build button, a cable tray design form will open. Within this form, a cable tray product group must be selected. Then, the dimensions of the chosen cable tray product are determined, and the drawing begins with the create button.

4. Splitting a Cable Tray Line:

A drawn cable tray line is divided according to production standards using the split button.

5. Joining a Cable Tray Line:

A cable tray line that needs to be reconfigured is reverted to its original form with the join button. In this initial form, users can easily make changes, edit, and re-split the line.

6. Getting a Product List:

Cable tray lines that have been split can create a bill of materials using two options in the form opened by the Product List button in the plugin. The first option is to create a list by selecting cable tray lines individually, or the second is to add all the cable tray lines in the Revit project to the product list at once. The generated product list can be exported in Excel format or sent to us for a quote.

Commands

Installation/Uninstallation

Users must run the downloaded EAE_CableTray_Plug-In_Setup.exe file and complete the installation by simply accepting the user agreement.

Important points to note during installation are:

• There should not be any open Revit programs during the installation.

• If a CableTray plugin has been previously installed, it must be removed from the Control Panel.

Users who wish to uninstall the plugin should do so by accessing the 'Programs' option in their computer's Control Panel, finding the plugin, and removing the software from their computer.

Additional Information

The plugin is capable of operating in all language options supported by Revit.

The user interface and all forms automatically adapt to the language setting used in Revit.

As the plugin operates on a cloud-based system, current SAP data and production data are used to update the family files accordingly.
