Harnessing the capabilities of reference planes to pinpoint the centroid, offers users flexibility, precision, and parametric control.

General Usage Instructions

1. Click the "Centroid" button located under the CAD-BUD tab.
2. Enter the desired prefix for the reference planes.
3. Choose one or multiple elements, then click "Finish."
4. Locate the centroid at the intersection of the reference planes within 2D views.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer will initiate upon downloading this add-in from the Autodesk App Store, facilitating the installation process for the add-in. Alternatively, you can double-click on the downloaded installer to install the add-in. Following installation, you may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the add-in. To uninstall the plug-in, exit the running Autodesk product, rerun the installer, and opt for the "Uninstall" button. Alternatively, navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall the application as you would any other from your system.

Additional Information

Please note that Centroid for Autodesk® Revit® is compatible only with Revit 2023 and 2024. If your programs meet these compatibility requirements, the installation of the free Centroid add-in is a straightforward process.
