Convert various family categories into non-modifiable 3D geometry and purge them from the model.

General Usage Instructions

AG Asset Protector is a tool that enables you to protect your digital assets when sharing models with specific consultants or parties.

For non-Revit users like renderers, you can safeguard all family categories by converting the entire model into CAD 3D geometry.

For MEP consultants using Autodesk® Revit®, you can selectively transform and remove unnecessary family categories while preserving vital information.

AG Asset Protector also provides the convenience of purging only the converted families from the model, ensuring data integrity and preserving other essential elements.

Additionally, you can offset the location of the converted families in the X, Y, and Z directions, offering further customization and control over the protected assets.

With these features, you can limit the hands that receive your hard work, protecting your intellectual property from unauthorized use while optimizing collaboration with consultants securely and efficiently.

Additional Information

Known Issues

In large models, sometimes newly created geometry may experience shifts. In such cases, it is recommended to manually note the number of shifts. With AG Asset Protector, you can then input the corresponding X, Y, or Z offset values into the plugin. This feature allows for precise placement of geometry when running the plugin in the future.
