LocateInRoom
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
1. Select the project parameters (text) where the information will be placed. If none have been added, the comments parameter is available as a native option.
2. Select the grouping method for the items to be placed; the options are "category," "family," "type," or "element."
3. Select the project from which the rooms will be taken. If they are local rooms and there are no links to rooms, that option will be automatically disabled. However, if there are only linked rooms, the local rooms option will be disabled. Let the application investigate for you. If linked rooms are not enabled in the current view, or the current view is a view without links, such as in plan views or schedules, you will receive a notification that there are no visible rooms. The option is to go to a view with rooms enabled, such as a 3D view or a floor plan view. There is a text box that indicates the number of rooms, whether local or linked.
4. When you select a group, a list appears with all the categories, families, types, or elements modeled in the current project, and the number of instances of each group. Clicking a check mark on one or more groups will select the elements; right-clicking will deselect the elements; double-clicking will select the elements in the group visible in the current view. Clicking the Place button will place all elements in the group with a check mark throughout the model. If you don't have a check mark, but you double-clicked a group and elements are selected, clicking the Place button will place the selected elements in their corresponding rooms. If you want to place an element, simply preselect it and click Place to apply the placement to the group elements selected in the corresponding parameter. It is important to note that the selected parameters must exist for the element to be placed.
5. Place with a single click.
6. Cancel and exit the environment with a single click.
It is not necessary to check a category, family, type, or element to place it. Simply select the type of grouping you want to create, click "Place," and the app will prompt you to select the element you want to place in the view. Depending on the grouping selection, it will place all the elements in the category, family, type, or a single element that is visible in the current view.
The difference with CHECK is that all elements in the selected grouping will be placed throughout the project, while without CHECK, only those visible in the active view will be placed.
