ConduiTool

ConduiTool is a plugin for Revit that facilitates the creation of conduits between families with conduit connectors and the placement of interconnected conduit fittings.
The plugin allows the user to select the following data for the making of conduits:
- Conduit without fittings or with fittings.
- Type of conduit.
- Diameter of the conduit.
The previous data is taking of the Revit model configuration.
The add-in loads the conduitoolbox.rfa family, that it is used in the first option and two shared parameters that are used in the second option.
Shared parameters:
- ct_above: Yes/No, associated with the wires.
- ct_underground: Yes/No, Associated with the wires.
The plugin also has 3 types of options for the conduit creation:
1. Offset + Conduit Fitting (Wire):
This option requires an offset value.
In this type of the plugin insert a conduit fitting or junction box above the families selected, considering the highest family, and interconnect these fittings according to the wire’s trajectories selected.
This option requires at least two elements in the following categories and one wire that joins the families.
Categories:
- Wires.
- Lighting fixtures.
- Lighting devices.
- Electrical fixtures.
- Electrical equipment.
- Data devices.
- Nurse call devices.
- Communication devices.
- Fire alarm devices.
- Security devices.
- Telephone devices.
This option is strongly recommended to circuits with lighting fixtures recessed that need junction foxes for wiring.
In this option for the selected families must not need to have conduit connectors, but it is recommended.
2. Element to element (Wire):
This option requires that all the families have conduit connectors.
The user must select at least two elements and a wire that joins the families.
The shared parameter facilitates to the user for conduit above, underground.
3. Element to element:
Connects two or more families with conduit connectors with conduits.
Connects two elements with conduit connectors to a conduit, this conduit is recommended to be above or below the height of the elements or connect a conduit to a family.
This option requires that all the families have conduit connectors.
Commands
Installation/Uninstallation
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
