An Open CDE Autodesk® Revit® Add-In that connects to the OpenOp CDE. This OpenOp CDE Revit Add-In is designed to streamline the process of downloading and uploading files to the OpenOp Server.

General Usage Instructions

User uploads file with Revit Add-In to https://bimandscan-openop.com

Users can view the uploaded IFC in the Browser and create BCF Topics

Another Revit user can use the Revit Add-In to download both the IFC and BCF files.

The Revit user would make a change to the model and update to https://bimandscan-openop.com via Revit Add-In.

Web users currently viewing the IFC will be alerted about the updated version.

Perquisite:

To allow the Add-In to Communicate with a Server like https://bimandscan-openop.com please run the below cmd windows command as administrator.

  • netsh http add urlacl url=http://+:8081/ user="Everyone"

After successfully running this command and this add-in is installed, it will be available in the add-ins tab ribbon of the Revit app when Revit is started again.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this plug-in from Autodesk App Store has already installed the plug-in. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer by downloading it again from Autodesk Exchange Apps, and select the 'Uninstall' button, or you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 10/11), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.

Note: The user must run the command below as an administrator for the Add-In to work
