Unused Elements Cleaner
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
1. Open the app (please ensure you have an active trial/subscription).
2. Select model/s from model list table, upon selecting the model results will refresh. automatically
3. Tabs:
- Overview: summary of unused/overall number of selected Autodesk® Revit® element types
- Views: detailed list of used and unused view elements such as: Floor Plans, Structural Plans, Ceiling Plans, 3D Views, Elevations, Sections, Detail Views, Renderings, Walkthroughs, Area Plans, Legends, Callouts, Graphical Column Schedule, Sheet List, View List, Note Block, Single and Multi-Category Schedules, Material Take-Off, KeyNote Legend
- View Templates: detailed list of used and unused View Templates
- Tags: detailed list of used and unused Tags and Elevation Marks
- Scope Boxes: detailed list of used and unused Scope Boxes
- Rooms/Spaces: detailed list of used and unused (not enclosed or not placed) Rooms and Spaces
- Worksets: detailed list of used and unused Worksets
- Filters: detailed list of used and unused View Filters
- Design Options: detailed list of used and unused Design Options
- Groups: detailed list of used and unused Model and Detail Groups.
- Revit Links: detailed list of used and unused Revit link types
- CAD Link/Import: detailed list of imported and linked .dwg files
- Images/PDF: detailed list of used and unused Images and PDF
4. Functionality:
- Button: Export Unused Elements Report: exports HTML report for all tables using 'Show unused/not placed only' filter
- Button: Export All Tables: exports all tables without any filter into separate files
- Button: Delete: deletes selected elements (elements must be not used/not placed, not edited by other user and hosted in the current model)
- Check box: Show unused/not placed only: applies filter to the currently displayed table as per value in the column 'Used'
- TextBox: Search: filter results
- Icon: Autodesk App Store: opens vendor homepage in Autodesk App Store
- Icon: YouTube: opens YouTube video tutorial
5. Recommended usage scenarios:
- Revit models review: create new model, link multiple models, export HTML report to responsible teams or export all tables and build custom report
- Revit models clean-up: review unused/unplaced elements im each tab and delete selected elements
Commands
Installation/Uninstallation
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
