General Usage Instructions
Please see the instructions video: https://youtu.be/ZuzDGQm7BkA
The application will add five (5) Type parameters into categories: Ceilings, Floors, Site > Pads, Roofs, Structural Foundations, and Walls.
Parameters are as follows:
- EN Widths
- EN Layers
- EN Layers and Widths
- EN Type String
- EN Do Not Update
The first three parameters are multiline type (In Revit 2016 and newer), or URL type (in Revit 2015).
Run the application and use the "Fill parameters" button to record information about the layers into the parameters.
If layers are changed, the app needs to run again and rewrite it with the "Fill parameters" button.
If yes/no parameter EN Do Not Update is checked in type, the application will not update this type.
EN Type String is always updated. It can be used for comparing different layered structures to find duplicates or similarities (using Revit material schedule).

|Updated version with more functionalities. Supports all Revit languages. User can now see number of types and number of instances of each type, and also total number of instances of all type. Types with zero instances are grayed and can be not shown in the tree. Add-in automatically adds all needed shared parameters. Type can be checked to not be updated by the add-in. Add-in can create comparison string to compare different types to find similar or the same (filtered and sorted Revit multicategory material schedule can be used for this).|
