Tired of invisible items? UnHideElements lets you find and restore hidden elements from any view in your project using a clear, hierarchical tree view. Take back control of your model's visibility.

General Usage Instructions

UnHideElements is designed to be simple and intuitive, fitting seamlessly into your daily Autodesk® Revit® workflow. 

  1. Launch the Add-in: Navigate to the "DiFlow" tab in the Revit ribbon and click the "UnHideElements" button.
  2. Select a View: The main window will appear, displaying a dropdown list of all views in your project that contain hidden elements. Select the view you wish to manage.
  3. Browse Hidden Elements: The tree view will populate with all elements hidden in the selected view, organized by Category, then Family, then Element Name. Each header shows a count of the items within it.
  4. Choose Elements to Unhide:
    • To unhide an entire group (e.g., all "Walls"), simply check the box next to the category name.
    • To unhide specific items, expand the tree and check the individual elements.
    • Use the "Restore All" option to select every hidden item in the list at once.
  5. Apply Changes: Click the "Apply" button. The selected elements will immediately become visible in the corresponding Revit view.
  6. (Optional) Zoom to Elements: Select one or more items in the tree view and click the "Zoom" button (if implemented) to automatically zoom and center them in your active view for easy identification.

Installation/Uninstallation

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
