1. Download and Install
   Install the Parasolid Exporter plug-in on your system.

2. Launch Revit & Load Model
   Open Autodesk® Revit® and load the model you want to export.

3. Access Add-ins Tab
   Go to the ‘Add-ins’ tab on the ribbon bar. You will see three buttons: Export, Preference, and About.

4. Export Model

   • Click on the ‘Export’ button to export the Revit model to .x_t / .x_b Parasolid format.

   • A Save As dialog will open, where you can choose the directory and filename.

5. Preferences (Output Settings)
   Under the ‘Preference’ option, you can customize export settings:

   • Transfer Attributes – Checked by default. Transfers attributes such as color.

   • Write Hidden Entities – Checked by default. Exports hidden entities.

   • Write Free Points – Checked by default. Includes free points in the export.

   • Write Free Edges – Checked by default. Includes free edges in the export.

   • Reset Default – Restores all settings to default values.

6. About
   The ‘About’ button displays information about the company, product, and license details.

Installation

• To work with this plug-in in Revit, it is mandatory to have the ProtoTech Plugin Engine installed on your system.

• The installer of Parasolid Exporter for Revit will automatically check for the Plugin Engine:

  • If not already installed, it will install the Plugin Engine first.

  • It will then proceed to install Parasolid Exporter for Revit.

Uninstallation

1. Exit Autodesk® Revit® if it is currently running.

2. Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11).

3. Select Parasolid Exporter for Revit and uninstall it as you would any other application.

Note:

• The ProtoTech Plugin Engine must be uninstalled separately if required.

• It can be removed from the Control Panel > Programs and Features just like any other application.
