General Usage Instructions

The Bimroom plugin is designed to enhance your BIM workflow by seamlessly integrating with your existing projects. Once installed, the Bimroom plugin will appear in the ribbon under the name "Bimroom". Below is a step-by-step guide on how to effectively use its features in your workflow:

1. Accessing the Bimroom Library

Feature: Bimroom Library

To start, open the bimroom library from the plugin. This allows you to browse a wide range of BIM objects. Use the search and filter options to find specific objects that suit your project needs. Once a suitable object is found, you can easily place it into your project, streamlining the process of sourcing and integrating new elements.

2. Checking Object Properties

Feature: Properties

Usage: Select any object in your project that was downloaded from the Bimroom library. Click on the “Properties” option to view detailed specifications and characteristics of the object.

3. Finding Similar Objects

Feature: Find Similar

Usage: If you need alternatives to an object in your project, select the object and use the “Find Similar” feature. This will search the Bimroom library for similar objects that can be placed into your model without replacing the original.

4. Replacing Objects

Feature: Replace Object

Usage: To update or swap an existing object with a new one from the Bimroom library, select the object and choose the “Replace Object” option. You can choose to replace only the selected instance or all instances of the same object in your project.

5. Managing Favorites

Feature: Favourites

Usage: Use the “Favourites” feature to access your saved favorite objects quickly. This helps you to keep track of commonly used or preferred objects, making them easily accessible for future projects.

6. Accessing the Generic Object Library

Feature: b collection

Usage: Open the “b collection” to access a broad range of generic objects. Generic objects can be later replaced with manufacturer-branded objects with the "Replace object" feature.

7. User Account Management

Feature: User

Usage: Click on the “User” option to manage your Bimroom account. Here, you can update your details, view your activity, and access personalized settings.

8. Exploring Featured Content
