Truss Designer
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
Although the add-in allows for other action sequence possibilities, the following is initially recommended:
1. Create a new truss of the Beam, Column or Lattice type (as appropriate) using the first three options on the top toolbar, or load a previously saved truss.
2. Modification of the parameters of the lower area until the desired geometry is achieved. The system dynamically presents the effect of the variation of each parameter.
3. Creation of new materials or modification of the same (if applicable) by means of the sixth option of the upper toolbar.
4. Create new sections or modify them (if applicable) using the seventh option on the top toolbar.
5. Modification (if applicable) of the assignment of materials and sections to the members, through the fifth option of the upper toolbar.
6. Adjustment of the parameters (if applicable) by means of the fourth option of the upper toolbar, in view of the lengths and weights (by material, section and totals) dynamically calculated by the system when varying each parameter.
7. Saving (if applicable) partial solutions at any time (for possible later use) through the "File" menu.
8. Obtaining (if applicable) DXF files with the truss active at all times, using the last option on the top toolbar (or the "Processes" menu).
9. Generation of the elements in Revit using the penultimate option on the top toolbar (or the "Processes" menu), with the conditions adopted in the insertion parameters panel.
