Set Autodesk® Revit® view for shadow study
- Open a view in Revit.
- On the View Control Bar, click Shadows Off/On Shadows On.
- Make sure the crop view is enabled.
- Add a scale bar (a detailed family) to the view – Recommended.
- Open Shadow Colour from the Add-Ins tab.
Conduct shadow study: Assign colours and export images.
- Add element – click on ‘Add Element’ and pick a mass from the Revit view (any Revit component, mass or linked CAD). The first element will be the top layer, and the last element will be the bottom layer.
- Assign a colour for each layer by using the colour picker.
- For area calculation - Assign a different colour for shadows within the site – click ‘Add Site’ and select a property line from the Revit view (pick a white colour to hide shadow) - optional.
- Generate/refresh the preview image by clicking the refresh button.
- Export a high-quality image or place it on a sheet.

Installation/Uninstallation
- Download the installation file
- Run the installer
- Sign up at https://agileform.ca/accounts
- Login and generate a license key
- Run the plugin through Revit
- Use the generated key in step 4, and press 'Activate'
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Revit if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
