Description

"Transfer Family Parameters" is a time-saving tool designed to streamline the process of adding family parameters across multiple families within a project. Opening families individually, creating parameters, and saving and loading can be cumbersome and time-consuming. This app simplifies the workflow by allowing users to select existing parameters from a loaded family and effortlessly apply them to other families.

Key Features:

  1. Efficiency: Save time by avoiding the manual creation and application of parameters across multiple families.
  2. User-Friendly Interface: Simple and intuitive design makes it easy to select and transfer parameters.
  3. Batch Processing: Select multiple families at once and apply parameters with a single click.
  4. Parameter Customization: Rename parameters during the transfer process to match specific naming conventions or requirements.
  5. Seamless Integration: Works within the Autodesk® Revit® environment, ensuring compatibility and ease of use.

Whether you're working on a small project or managing a large-scale design, "Transfer Family Parameters" enhances productivity by automating repetitive tasks and ensuring consistency across family parameters. This tool is ideal for architects, engineers, and designers looking to streamline their workflow and focus on creative aspects rather than administrative tasks.

It does what it says it does - however, would be great if it could also transfer parameters that includes formulas.

  • Good working tool
Gabriel Sévigny | July 31, 2019 Verified Download (What's this?)

The tools work fine but it transfer shared parameter as family parameter.

  • Thank you very much! ... but
simone avellini | October 19, 2018 Verified Download (What's this?)

..If there must be at least one instance placed in the project/family, does this mean it can not be use to import parameters from profile families? ( as you can`t place profiles). Thanks lot anyways great tool. Best.

  • Good Tool, But Should be upgraded
Rabih Abou Chakra | October 02, 2018 Verified Download (What's this?)

This Feature is very useful when creating sequentially families, meanwhile it should be upgraded to resolve the below issues:

1- The tool transfer Shared parameter as family parameter

2- Parameters with Formulas will not be transferred

  • Not perfect..
Jos Noordzij | April 12, 2018 Verified Download (What's this?)

Looks promising but only works for type parameters?? Not instance..

    E F (Publisher) | April 15, 2018

It works on both type and instance parameters. You can transfer family parameters between families in a Revit project or between families inside a Revit family (nested family). There must be at least one instance placed in the project to view and transfer family instance parameters. It's less straightforward with nested families. Either you open a nested family and transfer instance parameters while editing this family or you can place directly in a project the families that are part of the nested family and transfer instance parameters.

    Lazarica Tesu | April 25, 2018

I am also getting only type parameters :(.

    Yuki Sugita | October 23, 2018

I think parameters which are determined by formulas are missing from the lists! It would be nice if it let transfer that as well as formulas. Thanks.

    Stuart King | March 31, 2020

Equipment Schedules which also host the same parameter do not seem to pick up the parameter data from the family into the schedule.

  • Thank you
