Description

Your model is perfect, your documents look great, but your deadline is minutes away and you still have to set up a selected sheet set to print and crosscheck it with your sheet index. We all know how frustrating that is. This app makes printing and exporting faster and more accurate.

This is a straight forward app focused on reducing the time it takes for you to print or export your sets, and helping ensure that your sheet index matches your documents by saving sets directly from your sheet index.

Just select the sheet index schedule you want to print from, enter a name to save the set under, and let the app do the work for you. It will observe any filtering in the schedule and ignore placeholder or dummy sheets, and report to you the total number of sheets to print when it is finished. Once it’s done, just print like normal and check “Selected Views/Sheets” for Print Range; your saved set will already be pre-selected.

Thanks for the review! I will be updating for Revit 2017 as soon as my office updates and I have access to the 2017 dll files, look for it around late September.

  • Amazing Time Saver

This is a great time saver and coordination helper. Typically, you make a sheet index schedule to put on your cover sheet, then make a print set, then have to coordinate they match. With this, you check your sheet index and tell it to go. You know that the sheets on your sheet index will be in your pdf folder. Great time saver for check sets and final printing.

  • Simple and easy

I'm at the bottom of the totem pole so I have often been in charge of making sure that the print set corresponds with the with the sheet index. I shake my fist at the heavens and say "Why is this not automated?? What is BIM if not to prevent this kind of tedious nonsense??" This is a simple add-in. It doesn't do much but it does it so quickly and so easily. It saves lots of time and LOTS of tedium.

  • Didn't work for me!
Anthony Fresquez | August 13, 2015 Verified Download (What's this?)

Working on a very large project with a unique sheet number system so I'm having to use filters within the sheet index list to place the sheets in order. When I came across this add-on I was very excited about being able to generate the sheet print list from the sheet index. It created the list but didn't follow the order of my sheet index.

    Ryan Mccullough (Publisher) | August 13, 2015

Anthony, thank you for your review. I sincerely apologize if the capabilities of the addin were unclear. I am also working on a project with a very unusual sheet numbering system, so believe me, I feel your pain and wish there was a solution. There is currently no known way in the Revit API to change the order sheets are printed in. Depending what PDF driver you use it may be possible to control the order through your print driver, after Revit has submitted the print job. That being said, I am actively researching other possibilities for accomplishing this feature and as soon as I find a solution you can be sure I will update this app. And of course, as before, it will be free! Again, I apologize if the app does not meet your expectations, but I hope that it saves you at least a little time in not having to check the View/Sheet set boxes to set up your print!

  • Thank you
