Lighting Analysis

Autodesk, Inc.

Lighting Analysis for Autodesk® Revit® is a fast cloud service that uses Autodesk® 360 Rendering to expose electric and solar lighting results directly on the Revit model. The results are validated against Radiance, a commonly used simulation tool, and displayed in-canvas more quickly. The service also offers automated daylighting analysis for LEED.

  • Daylight calculations
    Cosmin Ticleanu | April 28, 2017

It looks like Lighting Analysis cannot calculate daylight illuminance at a point in the space for any direction of the user's choice. For example, if one wants to calculate vertical illuminance from daylight at eye level for a certain position in the space, this tool doesn't appear to allow for this type of calculation. Any idea on this?

    Marjorie Stein | May 01, 2017

Unfortunately that is correct. The Lighting Analysis tool does not have that capability at this time.
