Description
This Autodesk® Revit® add-in allows you to make use of a CTB file to transform your CAD drawing before importing it.
Usually the CAD drawings are drawn in lines of different color/thickness than what they're supposed to be plotted. Thus before importing in Revit you need to have this extra step of transformation.
CTB Link does just that. Give it a CTB file, a CAD file and you will have your drawing in Revit just as you'd plot the CAD file in a PDF or printer.
Supports:
- colors transformation
- line weight transformation
- line type transformation
About This Version
Version 1.1.0, 1/18/2018
New features in this release:
- Adds a real-time WhatsApp support number
- Adds a post-processing phase to fix some Revit inconsistencies with RGB colors
- Changed name of file from 'output' to the name of the actual CAD file
Bugs fixed in this release:
- Fixes an issue with treatment of line types
- Fixes some issues with layer processing
- Fixes a bug where nested blocks weren't being appropriately handled
- Post processing of RGB colors to make them identical to the DWG file (Revit's bug)
- Fixes a bug with reading information about color index 254 in the CTB file
Please make this standard compatible with newer Revit version.
EDIT: However, it does seem to run flawless in 2019 aswell.
Is there a version of this app compatible with Revit 2020?
2019 version please!
.
like when exporting a sheet or view to DWG it is exported with a *.CTB file as an addon instead of just the *.PCP like normal Revit dwg export
Beautiful. Only inquiry is in how-bow in the process of "revitizing" a CAD detail. How hard could it be to in a new project for this purpose to map colors to Revit Line Styles by matching either their Pens & or colors, & exploding it (as an option) to become native Revit Drafting Lines when exploded? I'd be nice if someone was to share a CAD LSP to convert Layers by their color to Layers matching Revit Line Styles if not by a layer named by it's color in CAD. Yeah, that would be awesome ;)
A Revit add-in solving that exact same problem is being developed right now. It will be a much cleaner and more intelligent CAD "revitizer". Get in touch with info@efficientbim.com if you want to be a beta tester. About CTB Link, any issue with it to warrant the 4/5 review?
hi I'm interested in this also do you have an update of this already. Thanks.
Great idea, just wish Autodesk would support AutoCAD users who use STB files.
Thanks. "Will there be an 'STB Link?'" - We are investigating the feasibility of a "STB Link" and we'll let you know.
Tested with various DWG and CTB combinations and it works nicely.
