MEP Opening Marker simplifies and accelerates the coordination workflow between MEP engineers and structural designers. By automatically analyzing intersections between selected MEP elements (pipes, ducts, cable trays) and structural hosts (walls and floors), the tool eliminates manual clash checking and geometry marking.
Users can define precise clearance offsets, shape types, and round-off increments (steps), while embedding crucial metadata—such as discipline, revision numbers, and dates—directly into the generated voids. The add-in also includes robust tools to combine overlapping voids into unified geometry, reducing model clutter and optimizing performance.

We are excited to introduce the first official release of the MEP Opening Marker add-in for Revit. This version establishes the core framework for automating builder's work openings and coordination workflows between MEP services and structural elements.

Combine Voids Tool: Clean up overlapping or adjacent void geometry by merging two separate voids into a single, comprehensive instance.
Dynamic Settings Suite: Fully customize clearance offsets, geometric shapes (e.g., Rectangular Voids), and round-off steps (increments).
BIM Metadata Tracking: Seamlessly embed project data including Discipline, Location, Revision Number, Revision Date, and Opening Status directly into the generated elements.
OpenBIM Support: Includes custom IFC parameter mapping (such as BaseQuantities) to ensure data compliance during IFC exports.
