Manage Autodesk® Revit® data faster and cleaner with the FORMlab ParameterFocus Revit Add-In
BIM teams can manage parameters in a smarter, faster, and more structured way using ParameterFocus. The add-in introduces Parameter Profiles, which let you define exactly which parameters are relevant for a specific task, project phase, or role. This eliminates the need to scroll through long, cluttered lists in the Properties window.
See and edit parameters from all sources at a glance - no need to click through to an element's type or elements inside a group.
Beyond improving focus, ParameterFocus also enhances data consistency. Predefine allowed values for each parameter in a profile to prevent typos and other inaccuracies across your teams and projects. Specify parameter-GUIDs to ensure the correct parameters are always used in messy projects where duplicate parameternames exist.
Profiles can be easily shared among team members or with external partners, ensuring that everyone works with the same structure and standards, no matter the project or company.
Integrate with Excel to edit parameters projectwide with fast bulk updates. Import Excel files to apply all values found on the selected sheet for parameters in the current profile. Export all profile parameter values in a document to Excel, edit the spreadsheet as needed, then import it to apply those values across the project.

m a big fan of the ParameterFocus tool because it ensures I get consistent and predefined values within specific parameters. Since we have to meet strict requirements related to BIM Maintenance and Life Cycle, it is essential that parameter values match exactly — and this tool makes that process incredibly efficient.
ParameterFocus is especially useful when working with the Basis ILS or ILS O&E, which are the Dutch equivalents of the IDS (Information Delivery Specification). Instead of relying on Revit’s Key Schedules — which are not always safe or manageable from a maintenance standpoint — this tool gives us a much more robust and controlled way to manage parameter values.
If you're involved in delivering BIM models, this tool is a must-have. Navigating through Revit properties has never been easier, and it significantly reduces the amount of manual checking I need to do when suppliers use it correctly.
