CALDIMO is a plugin for Autodesk® Revit® that allows users in the electrical engineering profile to perform calculations and analysis in the design of electrical power systems under the international standard IEC 6036-5-52, which differs in several aspects from the American standard NFPA 70, the latter being the basis of Revit in the electrical part.

The plugin starts from the basic Revit project parameters, such as electrical power, circuit length, and voltage, and adds several shared parameters to the electrical circuits category, such as parameters referring to the electrical conductor size based on the mentioned international standard and nominal capacity of the breaker of each electrical power circuit created and connected to a panelboard or similar. These shared parameters form the basis of the plugin's calculation and take into account basic checks such as checking voltage drop and coordination between the calculation currents, breaker, and electrical conductor allowable current.

The addin has general project variables that are predefined, or changed, which allows a simple workflow to speed up common repetitive tasks in electrical work; these parameters can be modified directly through the tables or circuit instance parameters and can also be modified through the interface window that the addin provides.

The plugin works with the power system supply that is in the template or predefined and works with the creation of power circuits, clarify that it only works with this type of power circuit, and not with others such as data circuits for example.
