This app helps you in the easiest way possible to get the total length, including angle bend, from the selected conduit or Cable Tray Run(s). This app is ideal when working with conduit runs and when there may be a limited angle bend or length on conduit run. At the end you can quickly check for the total length and angle bend of each conduit run.

 How total run length is calculated

Conduit/cable tray without fitting (family): The length displayed is directly from the Run Schedule which includes fittings (Recommended for most accurate length).

Conduit/cable tray with fitting (family): Run Lookup calculates fitting length base on the curves in the fitting family, which may not be 100% accurate all depends on how the family is setup.

    This add-in will only give you the length of a conduit/cabel tray and it does not count the length of the conduit/cable tray fittings in the run which revit already does.

    The only use of this add-in for me is the total angle in a run.

    This is not true. Run Lookup counts fittings length. If the conduit/cable tray is without fitting (family), the length displayed is directly from the Run Schedule which includes fittings. However, if the conduit/cable tray is with fitting (family), Run Lookup calculates the fitting length base on the curves in the fitting family, which may not be 100% accurate all depends on how the family is setup. we recommend the use of conduit/cable tray without fitting (family), for most accurate length.
