1. Download and install ExportMaster for AutoCAD - STEP®.

2. Run AutoCAD and Load a model.

3. There’s an ‘Add-ins’ tab on the ribbon bar. It contains the following ribbon buttons as shown in the image below:  ‘Export STEP' and 'About Us'.

4. Click on ‘Export STEP’ button to export part  to .stp file.

5. This will launch save as dialog in which you can specify the directory and filename of your choice.

6. On save as dialog there is an ‘Options’ button. By clicking on that you can set the options for output file. The options are as follows:-

• Transfer Attributes - This option enables the transfer of Name, Layer & Color information.

• Write Free Points - By default TransMagic does not write in free points. To write in Free Points check this option.

• Write Free Edges - Check this to enable the writing of edge (wire-frame) data.

• Application Protocol

• AP203: CONFIG_CONTROL_DESIGN schema.

• AP214: AUTOMOTIVE_DESIGN schema.

• Reset Defaults - Click this button to Reset to TransMagic default settings for STEP.

7. 'About Us' button displays information about company, product and license details. It also contains the company website link.

To work this plugin with AutoCAD, it is mandatory to have the Plugin Engine installed on your system machine. Installer of ExportMaster for AutoCAD - STEP® will ask you to download and install plug-in Engine if it is not installed and further it will install ExportMaster for AutoCAD® - STEP®.

To uninstall this plugin, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button.

OR, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8/8.1/10), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.

Note :- Uninstallation of Plugin Engine is done separately. It can be done from Control Panel.

The options "XML Output Option" and "PMIXML Type" from Advance Option page are disabled for the current release. These options are related to PMI(Product Manufacturing Information). PMI is one of our advance feature which we will provide in the next release.
