Generates Luer slip and lock fittings, male and female, sized per the ISO 80369-7 6% Luer taper standard.

General Usage Instructions

Where to find it
After installing, the Luer Fitting command appears in the Solid workspace under Solid → Create → Luer Fitting (next to the Thread command).

How to use it
1. Open or create the part you want to add a fitting to. The fitting can be placed standalone in a new design, attached to an existing body, or cut into an existing body wall using the "internal" variants.
2. Run Luer Fitting from the Solid → Create panel.
3. Pick a centre point for the fitting. Valid selections are:
   - A sketch point — the fitting axis is normal to the sketch plane.
   - A construction point or BRep vertex — pair with a plane or planar face for the fitting axis.
   - A circular BRep edge — the centre is taken from the edge centre; pair with a plane or face for the orientation.
4. Pick a plane or face if the centre point isn't a sketch point. Construction planes and BRep planar faces are both valid.
5. Choose the fitting type:
   - Male Slip — friction-fit cone, mates with another slip or with a Female Lock.
   - Male Lock — threaded collar, screws onto a mating Female Lock.
   - Female Slip — taper sunk into a cylindrical boss; mates with a Male Slip or Male Lock.
   - Female Lock — threaded collar with internal taper; receives a Male Lock.
   - Male Lock (internal) — male lock geometry cut into the existing body, useful for embedding into an existing part wall.
   - Female Slip (internal) — female taper cut directly into the existing body without a surrounding boss.
6. Set the through-bore diameter for male variants. The bore is a straight cylinder concentric with the taper. Default is 2.25 mm.
7. Adjust the diametral clearance if needed. Positive values shrink male tapers (or enlarge female tapers) for a looser fit; negative values produce a tighter fit. Default is 0 mm — exact ISO geometry.
8. Press OK. The fitting commits as a single timeline group; one undo removes the entire feature.


Tips

  • For 3D-printed parts, start with the default zero clearance and a known-good test print, then dial clearance positive (looser) or negative (tighter) until the mating fitting slides on with the resistance you want.
  • For lab fixtures, use the "internal" variants to embed the fitting in the wall of an existing part — handy for manifolds and adapter blocks.
  • Multiple fittings can be added to one part by running the command repeatedly. Each becomes its own timeline group.

Installation/Uninstallation

Install:

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store has already installed the app/plug-in.

OR, simply double-click the MSI to install the app.

Uninstall:

You can unload the add-in without uninstalling it by clicking the "Stop" button when the add-in is selected in the list box on the "Add-Ins" tab of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.

Unchecking "Run on Startup" causes the add-in not to be loaded in future sessions of Autodesk® Fusion®.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button.

OR, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8.1/10), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
