Revit project

The WiseBIM add-in operates on any image of an architectural plan.

1. Create a Revit project
2. Define all storeys in the elevation view
3. Import one image of the plan for each level by importing a DWG (Insert: Import CAD), PDF (Insert: Import PDF), or JPEG/PNG/TIFF (Insert: Import Image)
4. Set the real scale of the image (Modify: Scale)

Walls detection

The first step is the automatic detection of walls  generates the architectural structure corresponding to one image at a time.

1. Select the corresponding image
2. In the Add-Ins menu, click on the "Detect Walls" button in the WiseBIM panel
3. A pop-up is opened to select some parameters for walls. A checkbox is set to detect the category, a list helps to choose the default family and some inputs are used to define the elevation.
4. Click on the Launch button to start the detection
5. The computation operates on WiseBIM servers and the result is sent after a few seconds
6. When the result is returned, all walls items are created
7. the user could then check the model by modifyng the geometry, the families and check the walls connection and alignment.

Openings detection

When walls are complete (from automatic detection or manually added) users can launch the automatic detection for doors and windows.

1. Select the corresponding image
2. In the Add-Ins menu, click on the "Detect Openings" button in the WiseBIM panel
3. A pop-up is opened to select some parameters for openings. A checkbox is set to detect the category, a list helps to choose the default family and some inputs are used to define the elevation.
4. Click on the Launch button to start the detection
5. The computation operates on WiseBIM servers and the result is sent after a few seconds
6. When the result is returned, all openings items are created
7. the user could then check the model by modifyng the geometry, the families and the location of elements. 

Slab detection 

When walls are complete (from automatic detection or manually added) users can launch the automatic detection for slabs.

1. In the Add-Ins menu, click on the "Detect Slabs" button in the WiseBIM panel
2. A pop-up is opened to select the default family
3. Click on the Launch button to start the detection
4. The computation operates on WiseBIM servers and the result is sent after a few seconds
5. When the result is returned, all floor slabs items are created
6. the user could then check the model by modifyng the geometry, the families and the location of elements. 

Spaces detection 

When walls are complete (from automatic detection or manually added) users can launch the automatic detection for spaces/rooms.

1. In the Add-Ins menu, click on the "Detect Spaces" button in the WiseBIM panel, there is non parameter
2. The computation operates on WiseBIM servers and the result is sent after a few seconds
3. When the result is returned, all floor slabs items are created
4. the user could then check the model by modifyng the geometry, the families and the location of elements. 

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from the Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.
You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Compatible with Revit 2021,2022,2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026

This add-in requires an internet connection to be able to run the automatic detection.
