There are two reasons why you should not use this plugin: The first and most catastrophic problem is that if you open a drawing with external references, and those external references exist on your local machine, they are ALL overwritten with empty 0kb files. Backups and version rollback are your only saviour here. The second lesser issue is it's not in any way linked to the Dropbox desktop sync. So it has no idea if the files you are opening exist locally and everything you open gets downloaded from the internet, whether it needs to be or not. Consequently, if you do use desktop sync, this plugin is functionally identical to the AutoCAD open/save/saveas dialogs, just much much slower. I understand this plugin is really intended for people who use Dropbox quite a lot but for some reason can't or won't use their desktop sync app. That in itself must surely be a minor subset of users, since AutoCAD users usually use their licenses on a limited set of regular machines. So what with features like smart sync for disk space management, if you want to use Dropbox as part of your workflow, there are few if any reasons not to install Dropbox desktop sync too. However, if you are someone who has this challenging Dropbox-but-not workflow, then this plugin may help, as you also probably aren't in the habit of using xrefs, so won't notice it eating your files. I can only imagine this has been released with effectively no real-world testing. Avoid it like the digital plague it almost literally is.
