With Lumion View & LiveSync for Revit, you can set up a simultaneous, real-time connection between your 3D model in Revit and Lumion. The Lumion View & LiveSync plugin is free, and installation and usage are refreshingly simple. 

Simply download and install the Lumion View & LiveSync plugin from the Autodesk App Store (instructions below), and go to your Add-ins tab. Click on Lumion View & LiveSync to open the app. Open a project in Lumion and make sure you are in a 3D view in Revit.  

Click on the Play button to start the live, real-time synchronization. Now, you can change the model’s shape in Revit to test a modified design, and you’ll instantly see the model updated in Lumion with accurate lighting and shadow, surrounding contexts such as urban neighborhoods or rural settings, and beautiful, realistic materials.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 10/11) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Lumion View & LiveSync for Revit will only work with Revit 2021 - 2026 and Lumion 8.5 and newer. If your programs meet this compatibility requirement, then the plugin is easy to install. 

To download the Lumion View & LiveSync installer, go to its page on the Autodesk App Store. Click the download button to get the installer. The installer may start automatically, but if it doesn’t, then simply double-click on the installer (.exe file) to begin. 

You may need to restart your Autodesk Revit program to activate the plug-in.
