Drawboard Projects Add-In

Drawboard Projects Add-In

Win64, English

Drawboard
This integration uploads sheets from an Autodesk® Revit® project into Drawboard Projects: a live markup environment for design and drawing review.

General Usage Instructions

  1. Open Revit.
  2. If you are prompted with a dialog for the Revit Add-in, select the “Always Load” option.
  3. Under the Add-ins tab in Revit, you will see an “Upload to Drawboard Projects” option. Note: Please save your current Revit project before using this Add-in.
  4. Click the Add-in and log in with your Drawboard Projects existing username and password. If you don’t have one yet, register for a free trial at https://projects.drawboard.com/register
  5. Select an existing project to upload drawings to, or create a new project. Search project titles and descriptions to quickly find the project you’re looking for.
  6. Select the sheets from the Revit model that you wish to upload to Projects.
  7. Edit the sheet name, number and revision as required. Anything you enter here will only be visible inside Projects and won’t affect the sheets themselves within Revit
  8. Uploading a drawing with a drawing number that already exists in Projects and a new revision will be treated as a “supersede” operation, and the existing revision in Projects will be locked to prevent any further mark up
  9. It’s not possible to upload a drawing with a drawing number that already exists in Projects and a revision that also already exists. The add-in will warn you, so you can change the revision
  10. The Add-in will attempt to automatically calculate the page size of each sheet. If you wish to override this for any sheet, select another size from the dropdown for that sheet. Be aware that the drawing will be “zoomed to fit”, which may affect the drawing scale.
  11. If you also wish to save your sheet PDFs locally to your computer, check the Save sheets on the computer box next to Upload sheets in the bottom right of the window. Change the save location by clicking on it, then navigating to your preferred directory and clicking Select folder.
  12. Select the “Upload sheets” button.
  13. Uploading will begin - do not close the window.
  14. Once all sheets are completed and they are marked as “Done”, you may close the Drawboard Projects Add-in.
  15. Log in to Drawboard Projects (projects.drawboard.com/login) and all of your sheets will appear under the Drawings tab in the project you selected.
