The SketchUp Import plug-in allows you to import SKP files into your Autodesk® AutoCAD® drawings.
Use the IMPORTSKP command to convert a SketchUp file, stored in a local or shared folder, and insert the model into the current drawing.
Note:
SketchUp Import 2016-2025 now supports SKP file format with versions from 2014 to 2023. SKP file format version 2017 and later will not be supported on Win32.
SKP 2021 and later version can be only imported using AutoCAD 2022 and later release.

is there a version of this compatible for mac?
Downloaded the add-in and the IMPORTSKP function does not show up. I've restarted the program multiple times after installing the add-in. This is garbage
Shows up under the Add-ins ribbon.
The scale isn't even related in simple factors. It makes the result unreliable which in architecture is a problem.
This plug-in no doubt can import sketchup model to CAD. But when the model is called in into the CAD software, the model scale is messed-up. So basically you can't do anything on the model except you have to re-draw again. But, I found in the sketchup software, you can actually to EXPORT the sketchup model into CAD model and the scale is still same from the original model.
I imported a 2021 Sketchup into AutoCAD 2023 and it works fine, no issues. It imports and turnes it into a block. I wish it would list all the blocks its importing, give us the option to choose which blocks to bring in, and also give us the option to smoothen meshes of some of selected blocks.

Hi, for "Failed Import" issue,
I use AutoCAD 2023 and I import SketchUp file from 2009 to 2016 version and working correctly.
SketchUp file 2017 - 2022 no running on this tool.
I downloaded the importer and the command isnt showing up is there a proccess i had to do with the download file? i have autocad 2020 and using the sketchup web.
Plugin returns error "Failed to import SketchUp file"
Zero explanation as to why
It says that the import has failed, but doesn't say any other info about it. I really don't know why failed, I've tried differents files.
Always when i try it, there's a message tha say: FAILED, and donsnt matter how version i save.
I have SketchUp 2021 and AutoCAD 2019. The IMPORTSKP command fails every time. How do I fix this?
Can the AutoCAD2022 file be imported to Sketchup2018?
Received an skp from a client and was able to import it with this program.
Would be nice to be able to choose mm/inch before import, but nothing that couldn't do myself after.
The model is imported but using c3d 2021 and SU 2019, both in metric metres the model comes in with wrong scale. (Probably some imperial meassurement).
This time it was easier just exporting DWG from SU :/

Hi Anna. Can I ask you, what version of AutoCAD are you using and what version of Sketch up have you imported from?
easiest way would be just to scale a known dimension - that's if it's not coming in as the correct scale....

There are several possible issues. 1. SKP file version is beyond 2014-2019. (You can save the SKP file to a version supported by the app) 2. SKP file path contains non-English characters. (You can update the path to contain English only characters) 3. Some other issues...
Imports tons of extra lines that if I try deleting, it deletes lines I need. Fully exploded the model.
Do you have any plans to imporve the plugin to support the 2019 version of the sketch-up?
Yes, it will be supported in SketchUp Import 2020-2021.
