It is an effective tool for converting Splines to Polylines or PolyArcs (lines and arcs) based on the chord error specified.
Most CNC software’s don’t import spline geometry.
Even the ones that import converts the spline into infinitely many number of tiny line segments which most CNC controllers don’t like.
Using SplineCAM you can convert spline geometry into PolyArcs which are optimised in terms of number of vertices and smoothness of the profile.
The resultant geometry when machined in CNC produces a much better quality output in terms of smoothness and aesthetics.
The application overcomes several shortcomings of the "SPLINEDIT" command in Autodesk® AutoCAD®.

hello, I just installed the tril of SlipneCam and it is nowwhere to be found?? can someone help. our company really needs a program like this..
I really like this app but it doesn't work with CAD 2018. With AutoCAD now making it difficult to use older versions of CAD it would really be nice if your updates came out at the same time as the new versions of CAD. NOT A YEAR LATER!!!!!
With the update to the program at the beginning of 2016, the program is now part of my required tool-set! Outstanding work. The polyline-to-arc conversion feature works better than I could have imagined. The recent update fixed it where it works on multiple polylines at the same time. This feature alone is worth twice what the entire Splinecam package costs. Thank you for finally filling a void in AutoCAD that I was searching for.
Why does this plugin have to flatten polylines. Pline2Parc mode doesnt work with multiple selections, so i had to click 1500 polylines, only to find out they were flattened with 0 elevation, basically useless. so frustrated right now
The app was primarily created for CNC machining of 2D or 2.5D geometries. So Z co-ordinate is not handled by this app. Do let us know your application and we can try to make it work for you.

@ We apologize that you are having problems with SPLINECAM. We have tested the app on a wide variety of spline geometries and it works well. If you send your specific file that you need to convert, we can help. Also there is a 30-day free-trial version (fully functional) in the app store (SPLINECAMTRIAL). Users can download the trial app and evaluate and then make purchase decisions
For starters, this plug-in slowed down my text edit capabilities. Every time I would double click text it would take 10 seconds of not responding before I could edit it. Also, the program just doesn't work as well as I had hoped. I played with all the settings, but it just can't think for itself and took way too much fine tuning. Too many polylines where arcs should be. You get what you pay for, and I wasted $5
