Often, you need to check or ensure the correct version of Autodesk® AutoCAD® (.dwg) files is being used. You need to ensure that the correct drawing versions are supplied by your client, and equally your client needs to ensure that correct drawing versions are provided by you. And, you also need to ensure the correct version is used when the drawings are uploaded in a database. This is where our application helps.
With this application, you will know the version of AutoCAD (.dwg) files. The application finds the saved version of AutoCAD files and populates as tabular data. The application does not require AutoCAD. It uses its own search method by which it finds the version. The application is capable of finding the version of hundreds of AutoCAD files in mere seconds.
You need to provide the folder path where all the AutoCAD files reside and press the Find Version button. The application will first find any available AutoCAD files in a given directory and sub-directory. It will then find the version of any available AutoCAD files. Data relating to the file name, file path and its version will be shown as tabular data.
The application can also cross-verify the version. It will check the version provided by you to check with the version of AutoCAD files. If there is mis-match between the versions, the cells are highlighted as red. You can also export the data to Excel for sharing.
The application will find versions related to AutoCAD 2000, 2004, 2007, 2010 & 2013 file formats. For other versions it will indicate NA.
You should have at least "Read" access on the file or folder being processed.
Note: This app uses a custom installer (and not the standard App Store installer).
