GeoRefImg is a LISP utility for Autodesk® AutoCAD® 2012 - 2025 (plus Architecture, Mechanical, MEP) which can automatically reposition raster images used in a drawing to the position defined in the images “World files”.
World files define geo-position and other parameters of a raster image (TIF, CIT, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, ECW, SID...).
The GeoRefImg module contains several commands

IMAGESATTACH
AGRI
First of all, thank you for developing GeoRefImg — it’s an extremely helpful tool for managing georeferenced images in AutoCAD.
I’d like to suggest a small but valuable improvement regarding the Auto-Ref feature, which I regularly use for automatically placing images in the correct geospatial location.
➤ Suggestion:
Could you make the Auto-Ref ON/OFF status clearly visible, especially when the “Attach Image” dialog is open?
This would help users verify the current state of Auto-Ref before inserting an image and avoid unintentional misplacements.
Additionally, it would be very helpful if the Auto-Ref button in the toolbar could reflect its current status more explicitly — for example:
By changing its color when active/inactive,
Or updating the label dynamically to show “Auto-Ref ON” or “Auto-Ref OFF” instead of the current static “Auto-Ref”.
These visual cues would improve usability and prevent confusion, especially during repetitive tasks.

Thanks for your suggestions Paolo, while there seems to be no way to dynamically change the ribbon from LISP, AutoCAD status bar can be customized and the "Auto-Ref" status is now displayed in this bar. The new Version 3.4 is published, will be also updated on Apps soon.

How to position the image automatically when the image is loaded with a world file without typeing in "Georefimg"
Since version 3.2 there is a new command (reactor) AGRI which will enable automatic repositioning right on image attach - see www.cadstudio.cz/georefimg

How about for AutoCAD in a mac? Is it possible do the same import process fot TIF images in an AutoCAD running on a MACBOOK pro?

How can I insert a georeferenced SID file with this lisp?

I am using AutoCAD 2017 student version. I am trying to use georefimg for georeferencing tiff file. AutoCAD is showing >GeoRefImg:File not found. What is the solution for this.
As a Raster Design user I regularly get asked by co-workers to insert imagery for them since their vanilla CAD will not utilize world files. This command will allow others in my office to do this themselves without waiting on one person to help them out. Fantastic app. Thank you!

Can import GIS images in standard AutoCAD. New version won't display in the Add-ins menu. Exchange App manager says it loaded, just not icons.
