Tangible is a cloud-based, AI-powered construction platform that transforms static documents into live, structured materials data. Teams use this data to answer critical, time-sensitive questions across their projects and portfolios that would otherwise require significant manual effort and cost.

The Tangible app extracts information from project documents—including Autodesk® Revit® models, PDF drawings, and specifications—and structures it into reliable data and insights. Tangible performs automated quantity takeoffs, matches quantities to design specifications, and links every decision back to its original source for transparency and auditability.

Teams have the option to upload documents manually or import data directly from Autodesk using the Tangible Autodesk Construction Cloud® App. This requires a one-time install from an account admin, to allow project teams to create new versions or projects directly from the data in Autodesk in one click. 

Projects can be tracked throughout design milestones by pulling data on demand from project folders and creating time-stamped snapshots. This allows teams to understand design changes in real time and analyze those changes retroactively to evaluate their impact on building performance. Performance metrics help measure projects against efficiency goals, standards, and sustainability targets.

At the portfolio level, Tangible aggregates data across locations, building types, and design stages, enabling organization leaders to compare projects apples-to-apples, identify trends, and make informed decisions at scale.

This app uses 3-legged Authentication when a user establishes a connection between Autodesk and Tangible Materials.
