BlackBox ViewportGrip for Autodesk® AutoCAD® allows users to choose how the Centroid & Viewport Grips behave.

 

This app provides a new VPGRIPMODE system variable, that can be used to use disable the Centroid & Viewport Grips, disable the Viewport Grip (Centroid Grip enabled), enable the Centroid & Viewport Grips (Fixed, no size change when scaled), or use the default OOTB functionality (faulty, changes size when scaled 'As Designed').

2.4.2 AutoCAD 2024 supported. 2.3.0 AutoCAD® 2018-2022 supported initial release. Update: revised to mitigate a .NET API bug with the CopyFrom() Method that results in Centroid and/or Viewport Grips that 'stick' to the previous location when non-rectangular Viewports are subsequently Moved or Copied. These grips no longer 'stick' and now behave as expected.
