This app creates a torx cutout on a body wherever a chosen point is positioned. Multi-selection supported. The sizes available range from T10 to T50.
Sizes are similar to ISO 10664 but vary based on options.
There are additional options for:
- How deep does the cutout go into the body
- Tapering edge on the outer ridge
- The sharpness of the star shape itself
- Tolerance for using 3D printing.
Creating this shape is monotonous to do manually, and using shapes like hex for 3D printing will strip very easily.
Using this add-in will help you create strong screws that won't strip the top cutout under force. Enjoy!

Torx works great for 3D printed parts that you want to screw together; much better than slots/cross/hex cutouts. This plugin is a lot quicker than the alternative ways of making your own Torx head, and because it's a feature in the timeline you can edit it later. The ability to easily switch the size and tolerance is especially useful. I've found that 0.15mm tolerance on a T35 or T40 works well for my 3D printers.
