This is a lightweight, open-source, Autodesk® Fusion® add-in that keeps a numeric user parameter named version_num synchronized with your design’s current Fusion data file version. This makes it easy to drive model text (e.g., engraving, embossed labels, drawing notes) so your parts visually reflect the current revision/version.

How does it work?

• On design activation/open, the add-in ensures a user parameter named version_num exists.
• On save, it updates version_num just before the save completes so it matches the version number the file will have after saving. 

Why is it useful?

• Automatically stamp parts with a revision/version indicator.
• Reduce mistakes when exporting/printing older iterations.
• No setup beyond installing the add-in; no external services.

What does it NOT do?

• NO network calls.
• NO analytics/telemetry.
• NO data sent to us.
