Beschreibung
This add-in for Autodesk® Fusion® generates a simple hexagonal sketch using user-defined input values / parameters provided in the app dialog.
You can also use this defined sketch to perform a through-cut operation on the target body (selected region / on a selected face), enabling the creation of the hexagonal patterns on the face or the selected region as per the specified design sketch parameters.

Version 0.1.0, 16.07.2025
Initial Release.
I'm trying to use it in such way so I get sketch with hexagon pattern (so no cut feature).
Addon tries to be smart and to limit hexagons to a face.
Unfortunately it does that in such way that it removes hexagons that fit face partially. I would like go get such hexagons stay on resulting sketch (then I would manually choose which parts I want to extrude etc).
It's written in python, yet packaged in unportable way (so windows only).
For MacOS users, install msitool via homebrew:
brew install msitools
extract addon files
msiextract HexagonGenerator_win64.msi
and then copy extracted Application Data/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins/HexagonGenerator.bundle to ~/Library/Application\ Support/Autodesk/ApplicationPlugins/
Restart Fusion and addon will be available. Follow addon help next.
works great
Hello Patryk Golda, the few hexagons in the middle is just a preview. When you confirm, the whole face will be filled/cut with hexagons.
Works great—intuitive and flawless! Should be implemented into the APP by default.
If you install it the only way to get back into fusion is to uninstall it.
after install and fusion restart, fusion crashes on startup. After uninstall fusion starts normally
Hello Bernat Pall, I'm sorry this plugin causes your Fusion360 crashes. Can you send me some screenshots of how it looks when it crashes? You can send them to lukasdev024@gmail.com Thank you
I'd love a build for MacOS if possible? Thanks for your work.
Same, any chance of a mac version? You SHOULD be able to clone the product and have Autodesk create the Mac installer easily. I'd love to try it out!
I'm impressed. It's clean and simple. Read the docs, though TL;DR after install, the tool can be found under the solid menu in the create dropdown. I recomend creating a seperate body then joining later since this tool will cut by body and not by face.
Cheers.
