The plugin creates knurl patterns on various types of surfaces of existing bodies. The program lets to choose the type of pattern, knurl angle, helix angle, the hand of knurling, and a few other parameters. Fixed:
* plugin stopped working when the selector for the reference vector wasn't visible.
Tried to use this to knurl down an existing model, but it only adds the knurl onto the diameter and doesn't remove it. This is counterintuitive for manufacturing and not consistent with recommended methods to do this for our application.
Documentation is not clear on this limitation.
This Could be good for 3D printing knurls, but not for machined designs.
Hello, What do you mean that it wasn't removed? Can you attach a screenshot or video of the process for your model? Plugin is documented both online (ex. here https://www.shwivel.com/knurl-maker) or offline (files in the last tab). There are disclaimer about the limitations.
The add-in is not usable because the rounding around the cylinder is not centrally set.
it's a great plugin that saves a lot of otherwise wasted time. in reality i would probably give it 4.5 stars as i feel it's missing a feature to continue the path beyond the shape say if you had a chamfer on each side of a cylinder and you want the knurling to interact with the chamfer aswell. it's not super problematic but it would be a nice feature to have as it would allow you to make a cylinder, chamfer the edges and then add knurling as most knurled objects have a chamfer on each end, but i digress. It's a nice plugin that works as expected so i'm satisfied.

This speeds up things very much for some of my designs. A few more settings and a more streamlined uibwould make it even better.

I recently purchased this tool but had a problem which Marcin quickly addressed and uploaded an update for it. After playing around for a while, I think it worked better than I expected. It's a powerful & time saving tool for its price. Plus the service is professional and top-notch. I highly recommend this tool.
Simple, easy to use and I had to email the publisher for help which was prompt and sorted out my problem.

Would be very nice if it would work inside a base feature.
Hello Andreas. Base feature is tested not only for this plugin. When there will be no problems it should be updated in this or next month.
