Better safe than sorry!
- Save your files locally so you are not fully dependent on your - or your cloud suppliers - internet connection all the time.
- Save your files in an exchange file format so you will always be ready to transfer files.
localBackup can to export your files to your local system at every save of Autodesk® Fusion 360™. This can be done for your 3D models as well as your drawings. The backup functionality can quickly be switched on or off if you don’t always need the functionality.
The following export formats are supported:
3D model - Fusion 360 native file format (F3D), STEP, STL, SMT, SAT and IGS.
2D drawing - PDF
All export functionality is done locally to increase the speed of export.

Dont trust the cloud? No problem!! neither does my boss. Everything done in fusion gets saved to our network. As long as you remember to reset the file directory everytime you're on a new project this is perfect. Could use some fine tuning, I will get an error saying failed to download files but when I check the location they seem to always be where they should??
working while travelling hasn't felt safer.
