## Overview

Default Parameters is an Autodesk® Fusion® add-in that saves you time by automatically adding your predefined user parameters to new documents. No more manually creating the same parameters over and over again—set them once and they're added to every new design automatically.

 

## Key Features

### Automatic Parameter Injection

Define your commonly used parameters once, and they'll be automatically added whenever you create a new Fusion document. Perfect for:

  • Standard clearances and tolerances
  • Material thicknesses
  • Common dimensions you use across projects
  • Design constants

 

### Flexible Modes

Choose how the add-in works for you:

  • **Auto Mode**: Parameters are added silently to new documents
  • **Prompt Mode**: Get asked before parameters are added, giving you control on a per-document basis
  • **Disabled**: Turn off automatic addition while keeping your parameter library saved

 

### Full Unit Support

Standard Fusion units are supported:

  • **Length**: mm, cm, m, in, ft
  • **Angle**: deg, rad

 

### Easy Parameter Management

A clean, intuitive palette interface lets you:

  • Add, edit, and remove parameters
  • Set values with units and optional comments
  • Import parameters from CSV files (Fusion format)
  • Export your parameter library for backup or sharing

  • Import existing parameters from Fusion's CSV export format

## How It Works

  1. **Configure Once**: Open the Default Parameters palette and define your standard parameters
  2. **Save Your Preferences**: Choose auto mode, prompt mode, or disabled
  3. **Design as Usual**: Create new Fusion documents and your parameters are automatically there

    As soon as I saw this in my email, I thought, "WHAT a GREAT idea." As a Python programmer, I immediately thought, I could write that! Then I watched the video and thought, "At this price, why would I spend a few weeks writing this if I can click, pay and be done."

    So, I bought it. I haven't used it yet, but this review is about the idea and pricing. Thanks for providing such a great value. This will save me tons of tiem at the front-end of every design.

    I'll come back with a functional review after I've played with this for a while.
